Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS) Program Office

The Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems program office provides health information technology capabilities to meet existing and emerging operational medicine requirements. JOMIS manages and maintains the Theater Medical Information Program-Joint (TMIP-J), the primary tactical medical system used by combatant commanders, joint task force commanders, services, and their medical support staff.

Since 2019 8 Consulting has been a subcontractor to large business Booz Allen Hamilton as they support the JOMIS Program office in developing, maintaining and fielding health IT products and systems to the DoD. 8 Consulting services included:

  • Monitor overarching IT cybersecurity policies and provide subject matter expertise to develop guidance to ensure JOMIS compliance
  • Provided cybersecurity knowledge and expertise in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for medical devices and mobile applications.
  • Supported Incident Responses and provided timely awareness to leadership regarding PII/PHI spillage, computer incidents, and classified incident reports.

Defense Health Agency's (DHA) Enterprise Intelligence Data Solutions (EIDS)

8 Consulting is supporting small business prime 4S - Silversword in the agile delivery of RDT&E funded resiliency efforts in response to COVID. These products included, but were not limited to:

  • Virtual Data Environment (VDE)/De-identification project - This effort delivers a self-service, low/no code research data environment that allows research to be accomplished by both internal and external users on a specific instance of DHA data assets within the MIP.
